Comment: The mystical creatures are on the tops of many of the buildings. The more creatures, the more important the building. This was one of the most important building of all.
112-Beijing-ForbiddenCity * The Forbidden City is huge. There were 10,000 eunuchs running everything. The Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex with 9,999 and a half buildings across 74 hectares, surrounded by a 6 meter deep moat and a ten meter wall, and is divided into two parts. The Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family.
