Big Times in a Small Town

Big Times in a Small Town - The Vineyard Tapes|1993|Philo|PH 1155

Since I brought in the CD with me this morning, and I didn't post the artist
and title list from it yesterday, I thought I'd do it. Quick reminder, it's
a collection of wonderful people and songs recorded live on Martha's
Vineyard last September by Christine Lavin at the Wintertide Coffeehouse.
Brand-new release, on Philo/Rounder Records.

James Mee - Big Times in a Small Town (4:47)
Jonatha Brooke & Co. - Dog Dreams (4:27)
Cliff Eberhardt - Is It Wrong To Feel So Good (At This Time In My Life) (2:48)
John Forster - Entering Marion (4:25)

Greg Greenway - A Road Worth Walking Down (3:40)
Barbara Kessler - The Date (Making Mountains out of Molehills) (4:36)
David Wilcox - Little Piece At A Time (3:03)
        Chuck Pyle - A Time To Decide/Endless Sky (4:20)
        The Impromptu A Cappella Choir - Shivering/Tight Jeans Round/
Nursery Rhyme Round/Round and Round Round (5:52)

David Wilcox's "Little Piece At A Time" is one of his more-spoken-than-sang
songs, about the devil and high finance. I had guessed at the title when
I'd heard him perform it live, and figured it might be called "Puppet Strings."
